Switzerland, Day 2

Interlaken OST

Next day morning, we left to Interlaken OST (OST means west in German), a really small town, no shopping street, only surrounding by houses and homestays.

It took around 2 hours from Basel to Interlaken OST. What did i do during the whole journey?
Sleep yes that is for sure, secondly i ate an apple (sweet apple from Basel's hotel) and thirdly stay awake so that i won't miss any awesome view along the train journey.

The awesome views along the journey definitely make me really WAAAAA ^o^, and i think my eyes were 0.2cm bigger at the moment.. LOL. Great combination created a great view, included big nice lake, nice houses by the lake and the flowers... I call tell you that the flowers there are super beautiful. Cincai dunno what zhap ba lang flowers also very leng :) If you are flower lovers, you will definitely fall in love with the place!

    Nice lake

    Nice river

Reached Interlaken OST around 12 plus in the afternoon, went to hotel by bus for check-in.
    The street
     Hotel which we stayed

    The pinky cosy room

We supposed to go Jungfraujoch (the place I sent you all postcard) on the day we arrived Interlaken, based on the lady in tourism counter, she said it was quite late to go Jungfraujoch at this hour. Basically, it needs at least 7 hours for return including staying times at Junfraujoch, where the next train is at 2 pm and the latest train back to Interlaken OST is at 7 plus in the evening. After some discussion, we decided not to go there since no point to going up the snow mountain if just to spend 1 hour plus there. We did ask suggestion from another staff in tourism counter on what to do and where we to go since we have the whole afternoon to spend in Interlaken OST, the handsome staff gave us 2 suggestions, either to go Harder Kulm (1322m) or Mürren (1634m). Plan changed. We were heading up to Mürren How to go? We took train to Lauterbrunnen, from there we took bus to Stechelberg, then the cable car to Mürren.

While waiting for train to Lauterbrunenn

Scenic view, on our way to Lauterbrunenn

Reached Lauterbrunenn, and spot the snow mountain

   Lauterbrunenn's train station

   Nice flowers hor

The handsome angmo gave us a brochure on Trummelbach Falls, suggested us to stop by the Fall if we want to go Mürren. At first, I was thinking... Hmm, what so special about this fall leh, ma like Panching Waterfall only ma. Hahaha.. Plus, the entrance fee is kinda expensive leh which is 11 swiss franc per pax, approx. RM 40 per pax boh. If go inside and nothing to see ma waste money, we 1516 for awhile at the entrance whether to go in or not to go in. End up my aunty said lets go in since we are here already. Ok, so jom lets go in and check out what is so special about the Fall!

Before I continue, let you all read the introduction first :)

Finished reading? haha~ So can you imagine how the Falls look like when it mentioned carry up 20,000 litres of water per second? Per second ah.. not per minute !

So, we took the tunnel lift up.

Once i stepped out from the tunnel lift, I felt super freeze lo, cos it's glacier, or i called it as ice punya water. And i got stunned by the super loud, scary punya water falls sound! How to describe the sound leh? It was like fiiiiiiiiii boooooooooom fiiiiiiiiii booom, that was really stunning! Really make me walao weh again. The water comes from the snow mountain, then falls from up there and flow into river.. that is why their river water is blue color, like glacier :)

Upload some photos and let you all how geng chao is it. Next time, I should show you all the video I took as well.

    The fiiiii boom fiiiiiiiii boom

           Naik tangga

Actually I felt abit scared la when i went in. Cos the sound ah really can hak dou nei stand also stand not stable ah. And also the gelapness inside make me lagi takut.

                                    The darkness and coldness

The wet floor, my hair also got wet

The dark, wet and cold path

                                     The fiiiiiiiiiiiiii boooooooooom

                                    The rocks

Super got volume ah the water

Smooth falling but the sound like GIANT

At that moment, i was imagining, what will happen if someone drop into the Fall, hmmm i can 100% confirm that if someone drop into the Fall, sure MATI! First, the falling water will flow you up and down like roller coaster, after that you will knock yourself on the rocks. By that time, scream or no scream also make no use, cos the water sound is much much much much LOUDER, people can't even hear you la.

As people said, this waterfall is MORE FAR HEARD THAN SEEN.

The darkness was over! Time to see something GREEN greenish :)
Since we took tunnel lift up to the Fall, my aunty and I decided to walk back down to the ground cos the view is awesome ah when we looked down from the top.

    View from the top

    Hijau belaka, nice?

After the fiiiiiiii boom, we heading up to our next destination, Mürren.

Reached Mürren! We found out the next cable car station is to Schilthorn, place where 1969 James Bond 007- On Her Majesty's Secret Services was set. But too bad, we missed the last cable car to go up there :( sigh!

This is Schilthorn. Nice place right? The building is a restaurant, where it can turn 360
    degrees. Pic source : internet.

Mürren, nothing special about this place. It's just a small village by the mountain, didn't explore much about it cos it was raining outside. So, we just sat in the cable car station while waiting for the next cable car to go down.

    Yesh!

Reached Interlaken OST around 7 plus, ngam-ngam hou for dinner time, took our dinner in chinese restaurant. Not bad the taste, and the portion big enough. You know what? A glass of plain water cost 3.50 swiss franc ah! RM 10.00 wey kai wan xiao!

After dinner, it was already 8 plus where bus service back to our hotel closed at 7pm leh, so how? Walk lo..what else~ 25 minutes walk back to hotel, under the rain. Quite fun actually, we can sunbin kap people's houses, see what kinda flowers they plant. Walk walk walk, the head turn left and right, after few turnings of head, oh yeah, reached our hotel jugak :D Lepas tu, shower, facebook, watch tv and then sleep !

End of second day ^.^

Switzerland, Day 1

Basel

Swiss, one of the countries that i loved the most so far. Love because of the friendly local people, clean environment and the last but not the least, THE NATURE of Switzerland !

I traveled from Paris to Basel, Switzerland by train. Nice and comfy seat and the journey took around 3 hours.

This is the tram in Basel, big space and comfy seat inside

After 3 hours of sleep, chat and eat, and finally i reached Basel Switzerland. We have 6 people traveling together, and since each of us had big luggage to carry along, so we decided to take taxi. As usual, we went to ask for price outside the train station. Wa, mana tau itu taxi driver like singa bukak mulut besar, offer us 60 swiss franc per taxi which is approx. RM 200.00. This is super expensive, cos my aunty said this is a small town and everything is so nearby. We negotiated with the taxi driver but the lowest offer he gave us was 50 swiss franc. In the end, we said no way, this is crazy. So my aunty and I went up further to search for another taxi.
Dang dang, while we were searching for another taxi, we saw a tourism information office next to Basel train station.

We went in and asked for information about Basel, the woman in the office is so kind. She gave us the map of Basel, and the most important thing she told us public transport in Basel is FREE. Wow, it's such a good news for us! Cos sometimes very mafan la to find coins if we take public transport. We more happy when she told us : you may cross the opposite road and wait in front of the bakery shop, take bus number 30. Your hotel location is the 3rd stop, named Spalentor. Buses in Basel is good, the step to step into the bus isnt high, so you won't feel hard to hold and carry 20kgs naik bus, and there's a space for you to put luggage :)

Guess what? From the Basel train station to our hotel, it needs only 5-8mins! Luckily tak kena chop tiok tiok tiok by the taxi driver. Hahahah :D

Basel is a small town, where the public transport is the tram and the bus (FOC, you don't have to pay). Although it's a small town, there is a Louis Vuitton boutique here. And many interesting shops as well such as Zara, Lacoste, Swarovski, United Colours of Benetton etc.

    The town of Basel

    Part of the shopping street

Hang out around the town, walk walk see see take photos..

Cute hor this bicycle, I'm not sure this is for display purpose or someone do really ride
    it

Walk along their bridge to the opposite land, do you notice something colorful?

Here... what is the colorful thing exactly about :)
The people there wrap it all along the bridge....

My personal experience, I didn't have a stable walk when i walked along this bridge, feel myself like going to pokkai on the street..  Maybe cause of the cars, buses across the bridge. And also the sound when the tram passing by, too loud. LOL :D

    View from opposite land

Took this little sampan across the river, back to the way i came from

Then, we continued with jalan-jalan, tengok-tengok..
End of Day One ! ^^
